The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love
The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love

The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever.
He does not punish us for all our sins;
He does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. (Psalm 103:8-10)

Oh Father God, I confess that I have not been compassionate. I have been quick to get angry. I have been accusing and harsh. I have clung to control. You know my weakness. I am like grass, a wildflower that blooms and then is gone. But You are enthroned in the heavens, You rule over everything. I repent and turn, to listen to Your Spirit. I bow in worship and love before You.

As far as the east is from the west,
that’s how far He has removed our transgressions from us
As far as the east is from the west,
that’s how far He has removed our transgressions from us

For His unfailing love toward those who fear Him
is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.
He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.
The Lord is like a father to His children,
tender and compassionate to those who fear Him.
For He knows how weak we are, He remembers we are only dust. (Psalm 103:11-14)

O to grace how great a debtor, daily I’m constrained to be
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it; prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, oh take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above
Come, Thou fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace
