Let the Thirsty Come

A resource for getting alone with God

Our souls are thirsty. We often feel a lingering sense of need or lack in our lives, so we run after a hundred different things, but they never bring the vibrant life we are hoping for. And this is true of Christians, of those who have put their trust in Jesus.

Yet, Christ boldly declares that deep satisfaction is possible—no more hunger, no more thirst (John 6:35). While we came to Christ once for salvation, most of us haven’t yet learned to drink daily from him—that he, and he alone, would satisfy our souls. Only one thing will quench the thirst of our souls: ever deepening fellowship with God himself.

Jesus invites us to learn new rhythms of daily abiding in and communing with him. That’s what this book is all about—pointing to the hope of vibrant life in Christ, and giving practical concrete help to grow in the rhythms, attitudes, and practices that foster deepening fellowship with God.

We are all thirsty. Christ is calling. Will you come?
