Hope in the Lord

Our soul waits for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield
for our heart is glad in him,
because we trust in his holy name.
Let your steadfast love, oh Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!

According to his great mercy he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for us

Oh, sing hallelujah
Our hope springs eternal
Oh, sing hallelujah
Now and ever we confess
Christ, our hope in life and death
(repeat)

For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him.

He only is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken.

(Pause)

On God rests my salvation and my glory;
my mighty rock, my refuge is God.

Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your heart before him;
God is a refuge for us.

Hallelujah, hope of Heaven
Precious treasure of my life
All my joy is in Your presence
I am Yours and You are mine
I will bless the Lord at all times;
I will constantly speak of his glory and grace.

I will boast of all his kindness to me
let all who are discouraged take heart.

O magnify the Lord with me,
let us exalt his name together.

For I cried to him and he answered me!
He freed me from all my fears.

Hallelujah, hope of Heaven…

Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.

This poor man cried to the Lord
and the Lord answered him;
he saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the Lord encamps around
those who fear him, and he delivers them.

Taste and see that the Lord is good:
Blessed is the man, Blessed is the woman,
who takes refuge in him.

Hallelujah, hope of Heaven…

The Lord says:
fear not, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand

Father, our souls wait for you.
Be our hope today –
you are our salvation!
Help us to lay aside every weight
and the sin which clings so closely.
Show us Jesus,
the founder and perfecter of our faith,
that we might joyfully run with him.
Open our eyes to see Christ today.
Shine in our hearts,
and fill our vision with your glory –
that through seeing Jesus
we may be transformed to be like him.

Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me save that thou art.
Thou my best thought by day or by night;
Waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my vision, O Ruler of all.

May the God of all grace,
who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ,
restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
To him be the dominion forever and ever.

Amen
