The following reflection questions and prayer time are intended to help close a time of spiritual retreat or extended alone time with God. Take a few minutes to prayerfully journal your responses. Feel free to adapt the questions, as helpful.
1. How am I doing and how am I feeling after this time spent with God?
2. What stands out to me from my time of retreat?
3. How would I, in two or three sentences, summarize my main take-away from my time with God?
4. As I reengage with my daily rhythms, how do I need God to help me and meet me? What do I need to depend upon God for?
5. Finish by writing down a prayer expressing some of these things to your good Father. Alternatively, go for a walk, taking your answers to the above questions with you. During your walk, talk out loud to your Father about your responses, your desires moving forward, and your dependence on him.
Walking Option
Instead of journaling your responses to the questions above, go for a walk and take these questions with you. Work through each question and honestly talk with God about them. You may find praying out loud to be helpful.
Optionally, after you finish your time of prayer, take a couple minutes to journal anything that stands out to you or that you would like to remember.
